What changes when nature becomes part of how we hear and feel music?

Outside the familiar architecture of a stage, venue or studio, the environment enters the performance. Acoustics, weather, light, birdsong and movement shape the sound, the conversation and the experience itself.

Born from our nature-based arts practice, FERN creates space for artists to encounter nature differently — and for audiences to encounter the music, the landscape and themselves differently too.

We are especially interested in expanding the relationship between creativity and nature: making room for intimacy, curiosity, pleasure, memory, experimentation and possibility.

FERN is an invitation into re-enchantment — a way of listening more closely, noticing what is already there, and discovering what becomes possible when music, place and imagination meet.
